All three Bella Vista Village facilities are owned and operated by Julius and Mercedes Vegvary.

Julius has been a Sonoma county resident for more than three decades. He emigrated to the United States from Czechoslovakia in 1970 and settled in San Francisco. In 1990, he moved to Sonoma county. Julius is a builder/architect and designed and constructed Bella Vista in Sonoma from the ground up.

Julius has always had an interest in working with the elderly and is dedicated to his three children and his wife, Mercedes.

Mercedes Vegvary emigrated in 1977 from Cartagena, Colombia to Geyserville, California. She has a degree in Business Administration from a university in Bogota, Colombia.

Mercedes obtained her license in 1998 and has cared for the elderly for thirteen years. For the twenty years between 1977 and 1997, Mercedes worked for the Sonoma Developmental Center in hospital administration.

Mercedes’ daughter graduated from University of California, Davis, with a degree in International Relations and from Harvard University, where she earned a Masters in Public Policy.

Having been raised by her grandparents, Mercedes loves working with the elderly.

Mercedes and Julius married in 2008.
